Important Update - Disqualification and Replacement of Best 6

Dear all participants,

We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to inform you about a recent development in the GreenHack Challenge 2023.

After a careful review of several reports and thorough investigation, we have made the difficult decision to disqualify the project titled "Arcators," which was submitted by Shivam Agarwal. The primary reasons for this disqualification are as follows:

  1. The project was found to be not an original work by the submitter.
  2. We have discovered that this project had been previously submitted to another competition.

We understand that this may come as a surprise, especially since we had initially selected "Arcators" to proceed to the next round. However, in light of the circumstances, we have chosen a replacement project that we believe deserves the opportunity to advance.

After a comprehensive review, we have selected "The SIMS" submitted by Theresa Vindri Pramesti, to take the place of the disqualified project and move on to the next round. So, the new list of qualified projects is:

  1. Tobi: Tales of Wakatobi
  2. GRoute
  3. Suggests
  4. FloraExplorer  - an innovative biodiversity initiative
  5. Ecoethics
  6. The SIMS

This decision is irrevocable and not subject to appeal.

We want to emphasize that the GreenHack Challenge 2023 is an open competition for students from all around the world, and each participant has the opportunity to view other submissions. We received a total of 27 impressive projects, which made the selection process quite challenging. Regrettably, due to the reports we received, we had to reevaluate our initial selection of the six projects to advance.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Your participation and hard work are highly valued, and we look forward to seeing more of your exceptional projects in future competitions.

Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,

The Committee
